Ultimate Source of Healing
Therapists, support groups, books, coaches and programs are wonderful tools and aides
to healing, but there is an ultimate source of healing. One source that will turn darkness
into light; mourning into dancing; sadness into joy. This source can and will restore the
shattered pieces of a heart, raise self esteem, give hope for a future, redeem our family
and children; infuse strength into the weary and carry our burdens when we are weak.
This source can wash a soul that is laden with guilt, self hate, shame and anger.
Restoration is not just survival but abundant life and living to the fullness.
Addictions and compulsive behaviors are replaced with healthy coping mechanisms.
Health, beauty and wholeness replace dysfunction, despair and brokenness. Betrayal is
replaced with faithfulness, unconditional love and acceptance. Out of the ash heap, the
garbage dump arises a workmanship created for good works, an object of love not
rejection.
Nightmares, painful memories and trauma melt away like the winter’s snow, revealing the
newness of spring, promises of a new tomorrow. The “if onlys” and “shoulds”, “oughts”
and “musts” are replaced with “I can”, “I choose”, “I will” or I” want to”.
Would you like to meet this amazing Joy Giver? Life Restorer? The Lamp that Lights my
Path? The Great Physician? The One Who Will Never Leave Me? Esteem Raiser? The
One Who Makes You Victorious not a Victim? The One Who Restores Me to my Original
Intent? My Knight in Shining Armor? The One Who Hold My Future in His Hands?
His name is Jesus. He understands betrayal, rejection and the struggles of man. He is
compassionate on those of us who are weary, tired, scared, angry, hopeless and
depressed. Gently leading his beloved down the path of healing, to a green pasture, a
place of rest and restoration. He can when I can’t. His feet when I can’t walk. His hope
when all hope is gone. His future when mine is destroyed and shattered. Love and
acceptance mending my self- esteem. Peace in the midst of storms. Joy comes after
mourning.
He is not a philosophy. He is not a religion. He is more than just a good man and a
teacher. The Bible says he left the glory of heaven and became a baby, then child, then
a man so that he could fully understand what we go through. He laid his life down willingly
because you and I are worth it. Suffering an incomprehensible, torturous death, he took
upon him self the penalty of our shame, our grief, our sin, and our failures. The best
news is that he broke the power of sin and death, destruction, hopelessness, shame,
failures when he rose from the dead.
Would you like to meet Him? It is simple as A B C:
Ask him into your heart? “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my
voice and opens the door. I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” Rev. 3:
20
Believe in your heart and
Confess with your mouth “If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that
God has raised Him (Jesus) from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one
believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. Rom
10: 9,10
If you would to ask Jesus into your heart say this prayer out loud:
“Father I come to you in the name of Jesus. I admit I need your help. I believe that you
raised Christ from the dead. I ask you into my heart. Restore my life, heal me, and make
me a new creature according to your wonderful, perfect plan for my life. I confess with my
mouth that I am saved”
